Vacation Bible School – 2009- Schedule of Events
Thursday July 16th- 6:00 PM- Accepted by Jesus- God loves us and calls us his children.
Chicken Bar-B-Que, Make hats, color bags, give out bandanas. Campfire with story, games, and s’mores. Registration and review of Friday and Saturday’s events.
Friday July 17th – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM- Protected by Jesus. God says “Do not fear, I will help you” and Saved by Jesus - Believe in Jesus and that he is alive.
Morning session includes a story, craft, snack, and a carnival/field day event.
Lunch – make our own pizza.
There will be a tent. If you child needs a nap, please bring a blanket or sleeping bag.
Please bring a bathing suit, as we will go under the sprinkler if it is warm.
Afternoon session - story. Nature hunt, snack, and crafts!
Saturday July 18th – Meet at church by 9:00 AM to leave for trip to Howe Caverns. Please bring a bag lunch and beverage. We will be back about 4:00 to prepare dinner- hot dogs and corn on the cob. Donations of salads and desert will be welcomed. We will attend 5:00 service, at which time awards will be given out, and close with dinner.
Rates for Howe Caverns – Age 16-64-$18.00, 65 and over $15.00, Ages 12-15- $15.00, Age 5-11 $10.00, Age 4 and under free. There is a 10 % discount for AAA members. Scholarship aid is available- see Mrs. Kiddle or Father Mike.
Please sign up on the lounge door or call the church office to register for any of the events. All are welcome to attend the Thursday and Saturday dinners and to go to Howe Caverns but we need you to sign up in advance to be sure we have enough food. Friends are welcome and teen volunteers are encouraged.
