Alpha’s mission is “to be a refuge where those dealing with pregnancy issues can find unconditional love, acceptance and truthful counsel, reflecting God's great love and respect for each individual.”

Their services are free and confidential and include: pregnancy counseling, tests and information on options; referrals to social services and medical facilities; free clothing and baby supplies; parenting classes; new fathers classes; counseling/support groups; educational videos and books; post delivery services; and abstinence education.

St. Andrew’s participates in their annual fundraiser “Your Change Will Change a Life” filling up baby bottles with spare change.

City Mission of Schenectady

Scotia Food Pantry

“I am the bread of Life. He who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.”     (John 6:35)

We actively support the Scotia Food Pantry ministry in our community through regular donations of both food and money, serving on the Board of Directors, and by the faithfulness of our members who work as volunteer staff during the Pantry’s operating hours.

For more information, contact Gail George in the parish office at: 518-374-8391 or standrewscotia@yahoo.com.
