"You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

To many people, the world of the internet is a dark place, Satan’s realm.  All one needs to do is listen to the evening news, and you are almost sure to hear of this darkness:  sexual predators, lies, scams, temptation, viruses, etc.  But light a match in a darkened room, and you can easily see that one pin-point of light sends the darkness fleeing!  

This is the very reason why the Cyber-ministry team was formed:  to be a light in the darkness.  Jesus went to the homes of tax collectors and sinners.  In His name, and in Love, we go to the internet. 

In creating and maintaining the St Andrew’s website, it is our hope that www.saintandrewscotia.org will:

• Serve as a source of information for our parishioners, keeping them connected to our loving community of faith
• Serve as a source of information to our community and the world, telling them about our parish and what it offers
• Explain our mission…who we are and what we believe
• Offer spiritual enrichment, offering users opportunities to study, learn, and communicate and connect

Most of all, we pray that our pin-point of light will reach those who are seeking, showing them the love of Jesus Christ and bringing them a step closer to a relationship with God.
