Cyber-Ministry Team

“Go in to all the world and preach the Gospel to the whole creation.”   (Mark 16:15)

The Cyber-Ministry Team is a group of parishioners interested in using technology and the world wide web to minister to our parishioners and as an evangelistic tool. St. Andrew's Church website can also help those looking to find a parish home or those who are unable to get to Church services.  Volunteers are needed for many interesting tasks. Free training is available.

For more information, contact Robert Vines at: revrsv(at)yahoo.com.

Please support the Cyber Ministry Team through regular prayer. You might want to use this prayer:

Heavenly Father, pour down your Holy Spirit on St. Andrew's Church and the Cyber Ministry Team. Grant us a new vision of Your glory, a new experience of Your power, a new faithfulness to Your word, and a new consecration to Your service, that through our renewed witness, Your Holy Name may be glorified. We ask this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

NEW! There is now interest in learning to make quilted prayer shawls. Please join us and learn or improve a handcrafting skill!

For more information, contact Alice Mose at: mose48(at)juno.com.

Please join us!  We meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the lounge.

Missions

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”     (Matthew 28:19)

There are many opportunities for Mission work within the community –as noted under Nursing Home Ministries, City Mission etc. – and outside the community, including mission trips abroad. Parishioners have traveled to Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Sudan, and Argentina to work with the people there in Christian ministry. The theme for our Vacation Bible School continues to be missionary work.

For more information, contact Fr. Mike at: FatherMike@nycap.rr.com.

Our Military Support section offers our service men and women an overview of the many features this website has to offer members of the armed forces and information for parishioners on how we can support our troops and their families.

The Website Services for our Troops page includes information on using this website, requesting mail and care packages, prayer requests and the Welcome Home Initiative for returning soldiers and their families, sponsored by the Healing Center at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center of the Albany Diocese.

A Soldier's Report from the Field is a first-hand account of an Army PFC's experiences serving in Iraq.  Our War Correspondent for this page is newly-promoted Specialist Bobby Peters of Schenectady.

The Troop Appreciation Board is a place to share our personal messages of support for our men and women, many of whom are far from home in difficult conditions and missing their families.  Please register on our website (if you haven't already) and post!

The How to Help Support Our Troops page covers praying for our troops, donating to troop drives, corresponding with service men and women, sending coupons for troops and their families, Hero Miles, Sewing support, Bibles for Troops and the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.
