Parish Ministry

Columbarium Committee

“Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; He who believe in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.’”   (John 11:25-26)

The Columbarium Committee is a small group dedicated to overseeing the niches in the Columbarium and making all arrangements for anyone who is interested in purchasing a niche and/or being interred there.  The Columbarium is located in the Chapel and features a beautiful stained glass window of St. Andrew, our Patron Saint.

“The glory which thou has given me I have given them, that they may be one even as we are one.”      (John 17:22)

This organization of the women of the parish meets for lunch and fellowship and to plan activities for the benefit of the Church.  Through their bake sales and homemade craft items, they provide a steady stream of money for Altar supplies and other necessities that arise in the life of the church.  Money raised is also used for outreach to cover the cost of postage for mailings to the home-bound and coupons to the troops stationed overseas.  Very popular events include their summer picnic, Christmas luncheon, and outdoor garage sale.

Our Parish Governing Board, called the Vestry, is responsible for our finances and the physical plant, including the grounds. It helps our Church spiritually to stay focused on our Mission Statement.  The two Wardens work closely with the Pastor in setting the agenda for the Vestry’s work.

This is a ministry for people in our parish who are in need of meals - for example those who are ill or recovering, those unable to cook for themselves, and other family emergencies.  A group of dedicated volunteer cooks prepare meals and deliver them according to a plan that is set up between the ministry coordinator and the meal recipient(s).
